About the service

How long does it take to see results from digital marketing?

Most clients see early movement - more visibility, more enquiries - within the first 4-8 weeks. Real momentum, the kind that changes your week-to-week workload, tends to build over 3-6 months. Search engines and social platforms reward consistency, not one-off bursts, so the timeline reflects that.

What's the difference between your three packages?

Starter covers the essentials: a proper website, one social platform, and a steady posting rhythm with monthly reporting. Growth builds on that with more platforms, video content, and a light content strategy. Pro is the full-service option - daily posting, full content creation including reels, a complete growth strategy, and priority access to us. Most businesses start with Starter or Growth and move up as things pick up.

Do I need to sign a long contract?

No. Our standard term is six months for Starter and Growth, which is roughly how long it takes for marketing to bed in and start showing real results. If you sign up for nine or twelve months, you'll get a meaningful discount. Pro runs on a twelve-month minimum, reflecting the level of work involved.

What happens after the minimum contract period?

You roll onto a monthly rolling contract with 30 days' notice either way. No renegotiation, no surprise renewals - if it's working, you carry on; if it's not, you can step away with a month's notice.

Do you work with businesses outside of Kent?

Yes. We're based in Kent, but we work with local service businesses across the UK - tradesmen, renovators, solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, and similar. Most of the work happens remotely, with calls whenever they're useful.

Can I upgrade or change my package?

Yes, easily. As your business grows or your marketing needs change, we'll adjust the package to match - whether that's adding platforms, stepping up content volume, or moving to a higher tier altogether.

About the process

How involved do I need to be?

As much or as little as you like. Some clients want a quick monthly check-in and otherwise leave us to it. Others like to be more hands-on, especially around content ideas and what's happening in the business. Either way, we'll never leave you guessing - you'll always know what's been done and what's coming up.

Who creates the content — do I need to provide photos or copy?

We handle the writing, design, and strategy. If you've got photos or video from jobs, before-and-afters, or your team at work, that's brilliant - it's often the best-performing content there is. If you don't, we can work with stock imagery and branded graphics, and help you build up a library over time.

How do revisions work?

Every post comes with two rounds of revisions included. If you want changes beyond that, it's £50 per additional revision - but in practice, most clients are happy within the first couple of rounds once we've found the right tone.

How do I know if it's working?

You'll get a monthly performance report covering the metrics that actually matter - visibility, engagement, and enquiries - not just vanity numbers like likes. We'll also flag anything worth discussing, good or bad, rather than burying it in a spreadsheet.

What does the onboarding process look like?

We start with a call to understand your business, your customers, and what's worked (or hasn't) before. From there, we set up your accounts, agree a content plan, and get the first posts and pages built. Most clients are up and running within the first couple of weeks.

About objections

I've tried a marketing agency before and it didn't work - why would this be different?

A lot of agencies hand you off to a junior account manager who's never met your customers and doesn't understand your business. With Whitecross, you work directly with us - the same person who understands your business from day one is the person doing the work and reporting back to you.

Why do I need an agency when I could hire someone in-house?

A full-time marketing hire means salary, National Insurance, pension, training, and management time - for one person's skillset. With us, you get a small team's worth of experience (strategy, content, design, SEO) without the overhead, and without the risk if it's not the right fit.

Is digital marketing really worth it for a local business?

For most local service businesses, yes - because your customers are searching online before they ever pick up the phone. If you're not visible when they search, they're calling someone else. One extra job from your marketing often covers months of the cost.

Can't I just do this myself?

You can, and plenty of business owners start that way. The honest question is whether your time is better spent learning the ins and outs of SEO and social algorithms, or doing the work you're actually brilliant at. We do this full-time so you don't have to.

How does your pricing compare to hiring a marketing employee?

A junior marketing hire in the UK typically costs £25k-£35k a year before NI, pension, and other employment costs - and that's before they've learned your business. Our packages represent a fraction of that, with no recruitment risk and no notice period beyond your contract terms.
Plans are tailored to your needs, so pricing can vary. The best way to find out is to book a free consultation call. We can put together a quote and you can decide whether it's for you.
